Eat Dim Sum with Yam Cha

Want to spend time relaxing with family or friends on Sunday morning? It was Yum Cha aka 'drink tea' this could be fun. Not just a cup of tea, various variants of Dim Sum and other oriental dishes would make a swing tongue.

On Sunday last it was time to fulfill the promise of enjoying the Yum Cha with my friends. Incidentally in one of the hotels restaurant is located in Mega Kuningan is now Yum Cha held a ritual every Sunday morning. Fortunately for the holiday makes the car which I was riding smooth shot straight to the Mega Kuningan area that is usually solid.

Not as usual, there are different when I stepped into the Pearl Chinese Restaurant. Chinese restaurant located on the 1st floor, Hotel JW Marriott this day appear to be different from usual. A few tables set outside the restaurant and as he stepped into the various food stations like to welcome the visitors who come.

Various knick-knacks such as lanterns and bird cages bright shades of red adorn the ceiling. A large banner that read Gong Xi Fat Choi help fuel strong oriental atmosphere to welcome the coming Lunar New Year. When engrossed circulate views, all of a sudden someone waving from a distance. Apparently my friends are sitting pretty circling a round table. They deliberately waited for my arrival before the start of Yum Cha together.

Possible for people of Chinese descent familiar with the ceremonial named Yum Cha this. Yum Cha can be interpreted as a 'tea' in the morning. Habit of drinking tea originated from China's southern Canton, where Yum Cha usually enjoyed early morning in tea shops on the roadside. While chatting casually with friends before starting the activity, drinking tea is also often accompanied with complementary foods such as Dim Sum.

According to custom, to enjoy Yam Cha should be an empty stomach. That's what I did this morning. Just like a Chinese restaurant in general, each table is equipped with plates, chopsticks, and the typical Chinese tea cups in the form of tiny ceramic cups and small bowls.

Oolong Tea is first formulated in a clay pot is poured into a glass and white ceramic by a waitress dressed in cheongsam (traditional Chinese dress with high neck and parts on the side of a long skirt to the ankles). According to the custom of tea is poured into the cup for the first inhaled the aroma. Hmm ... after the fragrant aroma permeates cup then closed with a small bowl and poured upside down so that the switch to the bowl of tea. After that inhaled tea straight from the bowl slurppp ... hmm other than a mild fragrance and no bitter taste.

When the first cup of tea finished, we started moving towards lined food stations. Around about 7 stations held food, including Pan Fried Dim Sum, Soup, Peking Duck, Congee Station, and the Drunken Shrimp which is a favorite end. Wah wah ... the number of choices makes me so confused want to start from?

Yam Cha enjoy it feels incomplete without the presence of Dim Sum. To enjoy the Dim Sum at the pan-fried and fried, can be taken as much at the buffet. As for enjoying Dim Sum steamed like hakau, dumplings, or xiao long bao to be done by order. Obviously this has included package price USD 138,000.00 that we pay to enjoy this Yam Cha.

Dim Sum is served in bamboo containers with portions big enough to fill hakau and dumplings. Siomaynya gently with a mixture of two pieces of shrimp that are fat-fat in it. While shirmp hakau contain large shrimp with a sense of tender, tasty and not tough. When eaten fresh shrimp was cooked without over-cooked. Hmm .. yum yum! Occasionally we were sipping tea to dissolve fat attached to the palate.

After a full eat Dim Sum, I decided to counter 'Congee Station' aka rice porridge counter. More than 10 Condiment posted on Chinese ceramic bowls in addition to a chef who was concocting porridge. First of all pulp taken from the Chinese ceramic container and poured on the pan to warm over the electric stove, then blended with topping choices visitors. Hmm ... porridge smell wafted from the pan really tempting!

The first mouthful almost made my tongue burn, bite your tongue feels hot porridge. Its texture is not too thick, tends to dilute and savory flavor dominates this porridge. Sliced chicken and shrimp was tender, blends harmoniously with the egg tan phi. Hmm ... Dim Sum is delicious eaten hot! Finally creepes filled with various kinds of fruit with a splash of chocolate and strawberry sauce to cover our sweet Yam Cha.

Given not only the meals that satisfy, but also created Yum Cha togetherness. It was next week I'll be back again, this time to enjoy with family beloved Yum Cha! (Detikfood)
